I wish Google allowed negative stars because one star feels far too generous. I have only had Optimum for one week, and I have already experienced more issues than I have with other internet providers in an entire year. The service has been completely unreliable, and having an internet connection you cannot depend on is unacceptable — especially when you rely on it for work, meetings, and everyday life.

Had an issue where we were out of service and the repair tech refused to show up so we switched, I was on the phone for almost an hour yesterday trying to get my service disconnected (service that was down and would be down due to the tech). I spent nearly an hour arguing with 2 call center agents because they were spending too much time trying to retain me and not disconnecting my service. I wasn't going to leave a review until they called me less than an hour ago trying to retain me again AFTER we had already confirmed my service was due for disconnection. I am a 3rd shifter so this woke me up and I had to put it in clear terms for the 80th time this whole debacle to stop trying to keep my service.

Customer service was awful. I waited in line for over 30 minutes with 2 people in front of me the line never. Neither of the 2 associates acknowledged me or anyone else. All I needed to do was turn in Internet equipment. By the time I left there was 4-5 people behind me as well. That location is definitely not customer oriented.

This is the worst internet provider I have ever had. They constantly are trying to raise the bill and even if you are on autopay they will not charge you and then give you late fees. The customer service number is pretty much useless. You have to threaten to cancel services to pay what you were promised on your monthly bill. Several times I have been charged nearly 200 dollars even though I have the lowest service they provide. If you can use a different company then do it!

We initially had a frustrating experience over the phone and felt like we were being given the runaround. However, when we went in person, everything completely changed. The representative we spoke with was incredibly helpful and offered solutions we didn’t even know were available. Because of her, we were able to get our internet set up and running quickly with no issues. I definitely recommend going in person if you’re having trouble ,our experience was much better that way.
